Inglourious Basterds is a bold choice Sam. But who knows: the 10 Best Picture nominees are going to through the category for a loop.

Huh. Sam picked the revenge flick where Jewish action heroes brutally slaughter nat-zis. Never would have thought that would be his kind of movie. (Figured he was more of a blue body paint kind of guy.)

The Oscars is rarely about which film is better. Please reference: Crash, Million Dollar Baby, A Beautiful Mind, etc.

Unless these are your personal picks for each category as opposed to what you think will win. Then by all means.

I haven't seen enough of the best picture nominees, but in my opinion every one I've seen is better than inglourious.

I would actually be very satisfied if you're preference were right. Unfortunately, like you, I think Avatar is going to win a ton of awards.

On the bright side, at least the Academy is finally recognizing sci-fi.
