I just had to throw in that hottest team part so Mark could start hating in the comments section ;)
I'll be at the Blazers game tonight. A win tonight puts the Jazz in sole possession of the #4 seed. Plus, are only hard road games left are against the Lakers, Blazers, and Thunder.
One day I'll figure out why Hollinger's list seems to over-rate the Jazz, but not today.
Logan, I'm totally with you. If the Jazz can avoid injuries and keep the same paces for the remaining 36 games of this season... then they might be able to do something ;)
But D-Will definitely deserves a spot on the All-Star team.

Holler! Really happy for D-WIll.
Mark, as I wrote Brad a couple of days ago:
"hollinger's system is skewed towards the last 25% of games played: i.e. what have you done for me lately? hugely beneficial for the jazz who are 8-2, and only lost 2 games on the road to fairly good conference teams. plus the second hardest strength of schedule and a huge margin of victory leads to what is probably a bit of an overrating, but much better than other rankings which still seem hung up on the jazz's early division losses. denver is 9-1 over the past 10 games, but have played weak teams."
The Jazz jacked up the Blazers last night, but I am still cautiously optimistic. Around this time last year, the Jazz won 12 straight before losing 11 of their last 18 games.
Although I am irritated that the Jazz still are perceived to be a terrible road team after 3 quality wins against the Spurs, Blazers, and Mavericks. Overall, they are 9-12: about par for the course in the West.
I am more concerned about their embarrassing loses at home to the T-Wolves and Hornets.

I'll be honest: I was worried about that Sac game with Boozer and D. Will out, but Millsap and Gaines handled themselves beautifully. 2 out of 3 this week at home would be excellent -- preferably against Portland and Dallas so we can win those two series. I don't expect a win against Denver, even if Melo is still out.
Jazz strengths: a huge edge in assists against every team, which in turn leads to the best FG% in the league.
Jazz weaknesses: one of the worst FT% in the league and turnovers which cost big transitional buckets. Shore up those two stats and you have a tough team to beat.
