Why I haven't written a blog post lately
Not finished. (I've changed the masthead already.) But a glimpse of what I'd like to do in the next few months. On a non-Google server, no less.
That is... assuming I don't get distracted (or de-monied) by distractions or one kind or another.

I like the font choices, although I might miss the Blogger Orange.
Would a non-Google server keep all of the old posts and comments intact? As a historian I would hate to lose all the hilarity. It would also ruin my dead link jokes ;)
No worries. Wordpress is able to import everything, including the comments. The only possible issue is that blogger is set up to host images on picasa now. That means that as long as Google doesn't change anything, the images will work fine. But they'll be hosted remotely.
Adding color is easy enough. We could keep the orange headings. Or, even, use another, sexier color. Rouge?
Hahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha Mark, you said "sexier" oh man. Sorry I don't know why that made me chuckle :)
i support it. i hope logan was being sarcastic about the orange.
