Seriously, this statement will contribute to deaths. It just adds to the consistent dispersal of erroneous information (read lies) about condoms and HIV/AIDS from the highest levels of the Catholic church. I have no problem with advocating chastity before marriage and fidelity after. This, however, is not okay.

What a stupid man, he should be forced to check his facts before he makes a statement like that.
So disgusting, there really are no words for this but one, murder. Because that statement will be the cause of many deaths.

And also relies on what are essentially government subsidies. . . .
Wasn't this essentially the position of the Bush administration?
The Bush policy was bad, but it didn't explicitly go this far.
They coined an "ABC" approach where countries that received aid had to emphasize "Abstinence" first, then "Be faithful" and lastly, "use a Condom." There was at least some aid for condom distribution.
The administration never went as far as saying condoms aggravated the problem.
