"We ain't no hooligans, this ain't a football song."

For my football hooligani: the CONCACAF 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification begins in earnest tomorrow with a matchup between Mexico and the U.S.A. in Columbus at 7:00 EST.

The U.S.A. team is probably fielding the best team in the CONCACAF and Mexico just barely sneaked into the fourth round on goal differential, but the intensity of the rivalry and the weather conditions in Ohio should make this an interesting matchup.

Not a great game by any means, but a win is a win.

Andy: who are you pulling for in the Premier League?

Champions League also starts to heat up in a couple of weeks. Real Madrid vs. Liverpool is going to be tough one for me to watch.

I ran out of time when you made this post, but was going to criticize Bob Bradley for putting his son on the first team...and then he scores two goals!

Otherwise a pretty tepid game, as you say.

In the EPL I am a Fulham fan still, although their games aren't very exciting since they never score and rely on their strong center backs to get draws. Brad's Villains are ripping it up without spending much money or signing expensive teams, and they are a lot of fun to watch, so I'm also pulling for them a bit.

I still hate Tottenham and take great pleasure in their struggles, and it is nice to see Chelscum doing poorly as well. The champions league is going to be interesting as well.

When are you going abroad? In late March our beloved RSL starts their season in Seattle against the sounders, do you wanna go to this game with us?

A. Lo: I am totally interested. I should be around that weekend, and I think tickets go on sale in a couple of weeks (although I don't imagine the first game is going to sell out... but maybe?)

Are you going to fly to Seattle exclusively for that game? If so, major props.

Also, U.S.A. is playing El Salvador in Utah sometime in September. I might fly back to see that.
