How are things on the West Coast?

Hello.

SPOILER TAGS N00B!

I thought the finale was pretty good too... not my favorite episode but fairly satisfying. It scores a little lower on the geek-o-meter because the climactic battle with Syler wasn't as awesome as it could have been (ie. D.L.ownage of Linderman). But the resolution of the bomb was a nice and fitting ending to the season. [And for some reason I thought the episode was going to be two hours long.]

As a matter of personal preference, I wish they had killed Syler. A good villian, but I think now would be the time to introduce an even bigger menance in Generations -- an enemy brought down from the sins of the fathers. But maybe we are going to see some Maximum Carnage style team-up between Peter and Syler. Nothing like the tenuous alliance between good and evil to fight an even bigger threat.

Are you going to be watching Lost tomorrow night or are you still on your literary high horse?

And kudos for the Interpol reference.

i thought the episodes leading up to the finale were better, but the finale was still good.

i also thought someone should have for sure died. it was kinda lame that the fate of EVERYONE was unsure.

Peter's def. not dead. Sylar (with an 'a' dudes - seriously.) will rear his head again. Nathan DL and Parkman seem expendable.

Why is the Petrelli mom such a bitch?

What do you think of this whole Heroes: Origins idea? If you haven't heard they're going to have a six episode deal where they introduce a new character in each episode and then viewers vote on who joins the cast for season two.

Personally I'm skeptical, but it could be cool right?

God I hope they don't ruin this.

I thought it was pretty good too, but there were a couple of things with the plot that I don't like/understand.

What was the deal with the invisible person who tried to kill the multiple personality lady? What was that about? Do we know who that was or why they were trying to kill her?

Remember the mechanic with super hearing? It seems like Syler only had that power for one episode. Last night he was taken by surprise twice, and both times he should have heard the hero coming.

I agree that Sylar should have just died for good. He's a great character, and actor, but enough is enough. It didn't make any sense either. The police and several ambulances are there... but no one notices that this horrible serial killer just crawled away.

I kind of like the whole "Origins" concept... except for the voting. I don't think we need that. I'm all for a comic book style "one off" show, but we don't have to have that much "audience integration."

And Ben... mostly I don't know what you're talking about. I don't remember an invisible person trying to kill Nicki. And I don't remember Sylar being sneaked up on. (Hiro teleported to the art studio...)

I like Parkman :(

And good question about the 'Origins' - I had been meaning to bring that up for awhile.

Personally, I am a bit ambivalent.

After all, this is the same series that introduced a character that can interact with the internet just as a plug for their online marketing campaign. As described in some magazine I read, Kring is no longer in charge of a series but a franchise. The voting is a little absurd [are we going to make all narrative decisions based on focus groups?] but Heroes Season 1 earned my confidence and I am willing to see how it plays out.

Heroes just better not play me like Lost.

As for Ben, the invisible girl (whose real power is shapeshifting) was upset because Nikki's husband just owned her boss Linderman. And the hearing power was brought up a few more times. Basically, you need to watch every episode with me next season. ;)

Oh yeah... and I still on my high horse about Lost. That and I'm really far behind now, so it would take work to catch up.

And thank you, Mark, for spoiling it for those of us who haven't seen it yet...and I stopped reading your comments because the rest of you were spoiling it further. For shame.
