nanowrimo isn't a word
I guess this is a cry for peer pressure.
I'm going to try NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth this year. And a little push from my family and friends would help. I need to average 1,700-2,000 words a day. (Though I'm confident that, once I get going, I could overshoot that.)
Anyway. Day one. 1,300 words to go.

how about a tweet in the morning letting us know how much you wrote yesterday?
Yay Mark! Or as Apu once said:
"Are you serious? That idea is already taken sir...(scene missing)...was on the best seller list for 18 weeks...(scene missing, now dark outside)...one of the highest grossing movies of all time. ARE YOU INSANE??? I mean, thank you, come again."
Marky, that book ain't gonna write itself.
I wish it would write itself. I've been more busy than usual this past week.
Do we at least get a general topic for the nanowrimo draft? I know you have been kicking around at least a couple of ideas.
How about... Great Zombie Expectations? or a Tale of Two Zombie Cities?
You know, I've never written a zombie story. Obviously, I should have when I was in Grad school and obsessed with them. (Before they were cool.)
