I should have broadcast this a month ago, but I thought the answer was rather obvious:
Avatar is not worth your time or money. Unless Phantom Menace was your favorite movie of the 90s. Then by all means.
Once it surpasses Titanic, we shall know the most important political demographic of the 10s: furries.

Sorry brah. When I first saw it, I had no idea it would become a box office juggernaut. And then it won the Golden Globe and suddenly everybody is asking whether it is worth seeing.
I don't mind big dumb movies, but Avatar was just boring and tediously long.
And that whole tentacle thing was just too creepy for its own good.
I don't know. I am certainly a type of guy that likes to say a popular movie sucks, and everything about the plot, acting, script, etc. was infuriating (except that I think James Cameron was to some degree trying have a naturalist message, which is a better message than nothing) but i don't regret spending 13 dollars on watching trippy nonsense. I think it would definitely not be worth netflixing, because it relies very much on being immense and 3D. Maybe I just succeeded in keeping my expectations lower than low, and that made it ok.
