I still love him. 3-2 is a respectable loss.
Yeah, 3-2 is respectable. But it is tougher to swallow after going into halftime up 2-0.
The in-game adjustments by Bradley were not very good.
You guys are gross, Landon Donovan looks like Walton Goggins.
The American team looked gutted. As Donovan said: "We are look for a win, not respect."
At least we only have to wait less than a year for redemption.
How do we define redemption though. A world cup win? (obviously that would work) A place in the final? (Yes.) Semis? (for me, still yes?) Quarter-finals? (I think this is where I would still be a bit frustrated. Although I don't think it's realistic to hope for much more than that.)
That's a good question Brad. One that I don't have an answer for. Instead of how far we get, how about we define redemption as actually winning our Group in the first round. It seems like we always sneak into the knockout stages by some miracle that is not always in our control (even in 2002).
Even if we get tripped up in the knockout stages, I would accept that as proof that we are playing consistently well.
