Copa Mundial 2006

One last word about the World Cup... I promise.

Your local Univision affiliate will be airing every single game of the Copa Mundial.

I am watching Alemania contra Costa Rica before hitting Ratner to commence.

¡Que Golazo!

And the Germans kick it out by kicking Costa Rica right in the Costa Ricans...

I just got up at 8:00 am on a Saturday to watch Paraguay v. England.

Beckham made it worth within five minutes.

GOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL!

Well, that loss against the Czech Republic has put a bit of damper on my spirits. The World Cup has been quite excellent so far, a lot of really great games -- I caught the tail end of the Australia v Japan game: insane!

The U.S.A. might still make it, but I think I am going to have to emotionally detach myself again. ;_;

I feel the same way... I mean I guess the U.S. could win their next two games... likewise, Miami could give Dallas a better series.

But both seem unlikely.

Seeing Brazil in a lucklaster performance against Croatia ("Plucky Croats not showing respect to godlike Brazilians") gives me faith that the USA could hold there own if they somehow make it past their group round.

ITALY IT IS ON!

Tomorrow: 1939 rematch of POLAND V GERMANY

THE TEUTONS AND THE SLAVS:

The Lebensraum is only big enough for one of them!

Spain looked really good in their 4-0 rout of Ukraine.

I think their fourth goal was my favorite so far of the tournament.

So now that everybody has played at least once, any new favorites to replace the USA?
