I watched the first season when it was streaming on Netflix. I vastly prefer his standup: the show is too dour and lacks the jovial delivery that he has on stage.
Agree with Logan. His stand moves at a brisker pace and the show kind of languishes like Larry David-light... with an edge.Although I've heard the new season is much better.
Also, given the current state of the cinema, TV is where you find the interesting stories and creativity.
Mark, maybe you haven't heard of this little art form called the novel.

You should be watching this season of Louie. Just FYI, the latest episode (duckling) was a work of genius. Staggering even.
