What else can I say about such a horribly officiated series?

Meh. Say what you will. But the Lakers are a better team right now. They beat the Jazz.

The better question. Do you think Andre's visa will come through for that trade to an Eastern Conference team? New York is always willing to pick up a bad contract. And D'Antoni would love a run-and-gun temperament like AK.

Mark! Did you watch that series? You're breaking my heart. I'm not saying that the Lakers might not be a better team (that's a different discussion) but some of those calls, especially Game 5 offensive push-offs by Gasol, were pretty lopsided.

Logan, that GIF makes me feel dizzy. Maybe it's my sunburn.

During game 6 I said to Logan, "the refs have been bad, but you can't say that a 19 point difference is all the refs' fault."

3 points though. . . .

Anyway, I'm not usually much of a conspiracy theorist, but you can't deny that the NBA has a huge financial incentive for the Lakers to move on, not the Jazz. Which is of course not to say that had Boozer shown up for more than one game out of six. . . . And Kobe is so frustratingly good.

At the same time, if Kobe drives to the basket and misses a shot, it must be a foul. If he forces himself on a woman she must be a slut.

Did you hear in game 4 (I think) one of the commentators goes, "If Kobe can lead the Lakers to the championship this season does that atone for all the controversy of the past?" Wait, what? Winning some important games makes up for a possible rape? Really?

If L.A. wins the championship it's because Memphis made maybe the worst trade I can remember. I mean the Boston Minny one was bad, but at least they got Jefferson. Memphis gets Kwame Brown?

ok ok I can be done ranting.

Don't get me wrong Brad, Kobe may enjoy non-consensual sodomy, but I think the commentators were referring to the fact that he tried all summer to get traded.

that's certainly part of it, but in the next breath they talked about shaq and kobe, it seemed to me like they were conspicuously avoiding the denver issue.

best marquee sign during the series: the depot - HIDE YOUR WOMEN, KOBE IS IN TOWN
